A Modern Bard

A Modern Bard, Bob Doyle encapsulates the vision of a storyteller for our generation. Living in the cozy town of Dunedin, FL, Bob hails a far way from home in the cold north of central IL. With his northern blood, much of the music he writes comes with a feeling of warmth. That warmth shines in everything in Bob’s life: his love for the family he’s created with his dear wife Sasha. His love for craft beer (although a fan of lagers, any style hold a place in his heart). Even his passion for anything he sets his mind to, from tough jobs to the music industry.

Pulling influence from his past experiences and the people he’s met along the way, Bob has had the pleasure of opening for acts such as: Billy Joe Shaver, Robbie Fulks, and Slaid Cleavers. Bob wants to bring hope to his audience, even when they face the darkest of days. Even famous fiction author, Carl Robins, had high praise of Doyle, saying: “Doyle has a delivery like the last train out of Real Town before the invasion.”

Bob is a humble man, anyone who’s listened to his freshman release “Mercy On The Strange” can hear the lessons he’s learned that have shaped his life. Between the kids, late nights, and everything that entails writing music, Bob aims to be the best and play the big shows with his favorite artists. Through music, he’s learned the value of freedom and community songwriting provides and hopes to take it far; not to make him rich with money, but with the wealth of love he feels from those that enjoy his songs.

A Bard is a poet or one who recites epics tales; though short is the age of Doyle’s music, long is the story he tells in each ballad. With the hope he gives in “She Knows A Man Can Never Know” to “Richmond,” Doyle invites listeners on a magical journey of discovery: both for himself as a musician and for his audience as human beings.
